Software QA Engineer

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

Exa is seeking a Software QA Engineer to enhance its QA team.  This individual's responsibilities will include:

 

·         Designing, building and running test cases to ensure correct functionality of the Visualization and GUI features

·         Expertise in creation, execution and maintenance of GUI automation applications

·         Investigate, report and help resolve test failures

·         Adapt test suites to exercise Boundary conditions

·         Carefully document tests and procedures.

 

This position will be closely involved with testing and releasing new versions of Exa's products, so organizational and documentation skills will be vital.

 

Requirements:

 

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering

·         3+ years in Software Development/QA preferably of an engineering application

·         Hands on experience with developing/maintaining/automating test suites/programs

·         Good knowledge of Linux, Windows and other UNIX platforms.

·         Excellent leadership and inter-personal skills as well as problem-solving skills

·         Must be a self-starter who works equally well independently and in a team environment

·         Good communication and documentation skills

 

Additional Skills & Experiences:

 

Experience with one or more of the following would be considered a plus:

 

·         Experience with using/developing APIs

·         Python and UNIX shell scripting
