Company Description and Position Overview

The company is an International and established organization that is recognized as a market leader in storage solutions. The Principal Software Quality Engineer will be key member of a team of QA engineers focused on testing of all functionalities of the Company’s content archive product lines in a highly automated environment. The position is located in the Boston area.

Primary Job Functions

1. Develop and perform test cases (40%)
2. Analyze test results (20%)
3. Implement test automation (15%)
4. Participate with Release Feature Team (10%)
5. Develop test process to improve test efficiency (5%)
6. Work with Development Engineers to drive closure of problems including recreating failures and testing software fixes (5%)
7. Configuration of storage, server, and Sans (5%)
8. Some travel may be required

Required Experience and Qualifications

1. Working knowledge of Operating Systems
2. Scripting language experience required.. Python knowledge a plus
3. Understanding of the software and hardware development process
4. Solid problem solving skills and experience
5. Some experience in structured programming in C, C++ or JAVA
6. Test knowledge and/or experience in Fiber Channel Storage and/or Network Attached Storage
7. System administration skills on Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems
8. Storage (Disk/RAID) knowledge preferred
9. Six to ten years overall experience
10. BS in CS or EE preferred
