Principal Quality Engineer
Axeda
is looking for a top notch Principal Quality Engineer to lead and drive the
highest product quality of Axeda’s software solutions. You will be a leader in
the R&D organization, collaborating with the Agile Team to set and define the
test framework & procedures that will enable ongoing product quality tests
of the Axeda product suite.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Working with product
owners & other stakeholders, you will be expected to elicit functional
and non-functional requirements and to define test mechanisms to assure
quality across these requirements.
- Participate in release
planning, sprint planning and daily planning activities to align test
capabilities with business needs.
- Work with other
technical leads and management to build and drive a cross functional agile
development team that delivers value to customers.
- Mentor senior and
junior team members, assisting them in implementation of chosen
frameworks, test designs & execution.
Experience
- Experience defining and
implementing frameworks for functional, performance and system tests.
- Experience in
architecting software test frameworks that enhance software product
quality.
- Experience
collaborating with business experts to define requirements and working on
an agile team to implement tests to measure capabilities against those
requirements.
- Hands-on experience
with scripting/programming languages such as Java, shells, Python, etc.
- Hands-on experience
with proprietary & open source test tools such as QTP, Selenium, FitNesse, Watir, etc.
- Hands-on experience
implementing performance and profiling testing tools such as jMeter, WebLOAD, etc.
- Experience
collaborating with applications developers and business experts to
identify and implement positive, negative and boundary test cases.
- Demonstrated ability to
rapidly absorb product knowledge with the end goal of being recognized as
a product expert.

Education
- Bachelor degree (or higher)
in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 7+
years experience working in a software development environment
