Description:
Our client
is a technology company located in the greater Boston area. They are in search of a
Senior QA Engineer/Security for a full-time, direct placement opportunity with
a competitive annual salary plus a complete benefits package. Selected
candidate will be expected to test database security issues. Ideally, the
client is looking for someone with extensive experience testing database
security, but will consider anyone with strong QA Testing background as well.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the design, development and
execution of test plans and test efforts related to SQL and Workload
management subsystems of our client’s proprietary product.
- Create and implement test plans for verification of
security of client’s proprietary product.
- Define and execute software system and integration
tests to achieve required test coverage.
- Work closely with development and product management
during the early stages of product development efforts to assure quality
and testability of functionality.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong RDBMS knowledge with at least two SQL
databases including one of the following: Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Informix, Postgresql, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in security testing, particularly testing
database security.
- Experience in Linux, Windows NT/2000, and Unix in an enterprise environment.
- Must have experience in one or more programming
languages such as C, C++, shell scripts or JAVA.
- Must have experience in developing comprehensive test
plans.
- Must have strong understanding of QA processes and
methodology.
- Significant experience with development of automated
tests.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
and/or equivalent education and 7+ years of experience in Quality
Assurance field.
