QA Manager Boston based financial services firm



Responsibilities:

• Work with Development and Business Analyst teams to coordinate all system testing activities of the QA teams.
• Manage the staff in the 3 segmented QA teams Core Accounting, Non-Core Accounting and Regression.
• Work with business teams to coordinate UAT efforts.  Support the business UAT efforts as necessary.
• Manage scheduling and resource allocation of testing efforts.  Coordinate testing activities in the various QA test regions.
• Ensure proper planning and documentation of testing efforts.  Lead creation of sound testing approaches, including buildout of regression testing tools, both automated and manual.

Requirements:

§ BS/BA required
§ At least 5 years related experience in the financial services industry
§ Some understanding of fund accounting operations
§ Experience managing a team
§ Experience testing a financial application
§ Must be process-oriented and organized
§ Self confidence, including the ability and willingness to say no where appropriate
§ Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
§ Willingness to constantly ask questions and think creatively
§ Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
§ Project management experience
§ Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of tasks
§ Ability and interest in understanding systems design
§ Knowledge of the Eagle STAR system or another mutual fund accounting system a plus
