Our client is a leading

Proprietary trading software products are developed by our client’s
Trading Technology team. They are
looking for motivated and experienced people to lead their Quality Assurance
(QA) effort and build an industry-leading QA process. QA Managers will report to he Head of QA
and be responsible for establishing and implementing the vision for the target
QA process and environments within a specified functional area of the
business.
Candidates should be creative and prone to original
and forward thought. Their nature
is to give credit where due and readily acknowledge and correct mistakes. The ideal candidate is highly analytic
and driven, possesses exceptional common sense, and enjoys working in a dynamic,
fast-moving environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
§
Ensure that each software enhancement
deployed to the trading desk achieves its specific purpose or benefit and does
not degrade any other feature or performance
§
Work with the development team to
understand systems and use that knowledge to grow and improve our client’s suite
of manual and automated regression tests
§
Own and improve test environments and
enable the accurate prediction of an enhancement’s impact on the production
environment
§
Drive developers and the development
process to produce code that is thoroughly testable and meets the highest
standards for quality
REQUIREMENTS
§
Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Computer
Science, or Engineering, preferred) and demonstrated academic success at a
leading college or university
§
3 or more years’ QA experience, managing
an automation project / team
§
Experience with white/black box
performance testing of real-time systems
§
Experience building and operating
heterogeneous environments
§
Experience with automation
tools
§
Experience with SQL scripts (writing and
executing)
§
SDLC experience
§
Desire and ability to improve systems and
processes
§
Superior problem-solving skills using
exceptional common sense and a practical approach
§
Thoroughness and attention to
detail
§
Excellent verbal and written communication
skills
§
Comfortable giving and receiving
constructive criticism in an environment where everyone’s opinion is valued
equally
§
Financial services experience is a plus
§
Experience with unit test frameworks
(e.g., NUnit, JUnit), a plus
§
Experience with GUI testing toolkits
(e.g., Quick Test Pro), a plus
