Job Description:
Major Responsibilities/Activities  
*Execute existing, documented Quality Assurance processes.

*Conduct objective process compliance audits on software development projects, and software and document deliverables.

*Identify, log, report and monitor the resolution of project and deliverable process deficiencies.

*Attend meetings, facilitate discussions and observe day-to-day activities to identify and document process deficiencies outside of formal reviews.

*Maintain an evolving list of hot-topic process checkpoints, and regularly assess their compliance.

*Regularly communicate the status and results of QA activities to appropriate internal stakeholders.

*Become the program-wide expert on QA processes.

*Develop training materials, and conduct program-wide training on QA processes.

*Identify ways to evolve existing QA processes and submit process improvement requests to the Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG).

*Comprehend, and be able to reference, the software development processes documented in the program Process Asset Library (PAL).

 

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements  

*Undergraduate degree – preferably in a software, IT or engineering discipline – or equivalent work experience.

*At least one year of experience conducting process compliance audits in a software development environment.

*The ability to get up-to-speed quickly, and assume ownership of QA functions with minimal supervision.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

*Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

*Ability to travel up to 25%  

 

*Understanding of the CMMI v1.2 model, or experience working in a CMMI compliant environment, is a major plus.
