The IQuum Software Quality Engineer (SQE) works with
test engineers
and software developers to create IQuum's
software/firmware
platforms for its molecular analyzers. The SQE will utilize
software and planning skills to develop the test environment, create
test automation, execute functional tests, drive problem isolation
and deliver in depth defect report analysis.
II. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop and execute manual and scripted functional
tests traceable to software specifications.
• Design, develop and execute manual and scripted software
tests for performance and functional discovery testing.
• Design, develop and execute white box tests of embedded
systems.
• Participate in requirements, functional and design
specification reviews.
• Provide detailed test reports containing system setup and
monitoring information as well as detailed test results analyses.
• Submit defects and verify fixed defects.
• Provide test design, test execution, and defect fix
verification progress reports on a weekly or as-needed basis.
III. SECONDARY JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in Milestone Design reviews as required.
• Assist in HA / FMEA as required.
• Performs other related duties as required.
IV. REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
BS Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
Three (3) or more years directly related work experience with one
(1) year or more of experience in an FDA-regulated environment.
Experience in testing complex embedded and OS-based
electromechanical device
Experience writing and executing white box tests of embedded systems
• Ability to use scripting language for system testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and task assignments
with ease
Desired Skills/Background
• Software development experience in higher education or
professional environment
• Ability to develop black-box and API-level automated
functional and performance tests
• Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for
educational experience
