Software Test Engineer
Axeda is looking for a motivated Software Test Engineer with
a ‘test to break' attitude, a strong
desire for quality, and a high attention to detail. To ensure the highest software quality
of Axeda’s products, this individual will work closely with the senior members
of an Agile Team understand product requirements and functionality, design test
cases to verify features and functionalities, and identify bugs.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Define,
implement, and run black box acceptance tests on a continual basis to
provide the team with ongoing quality feedback.
- Design
appropriate tests to mitigate risks and help business experts define
requirements
- Collaborate
with applications developers and business experts to identify and
implement positive, negative and boundary test cases
Technical\Professional
Knowledge\Skills
- Ability
to write black box Web Service, Java SDK or GUI test cases
- Experience
with xUnit test frameworks to implement tests
- Knowledgeable
and skilled with scripting/programming languages and open source test
tools
- Experience
with Linux and Windows environments for implementing test automation

Education and Experience
- 4 year
degree; BS CS/EE or equivalent work experience
- 2-5
years experience working in an Agile Software Development Environment
- 2 to 5
years experience in and knowledge of black box testing, automation
frameworks, and web based GUI testing
- 3-5
years experience working for a software company
