Contractor Responsibilities and Deliverables
The Testing Specialist (TS)
for the project will participate in all aspects of testing. The TS must have
sufficient knowledge of the entire scope of the healthcare business to be able
to test various functional areas. The TS’ primary responsibility is to ensure
that the system functions as designed, meets the requirements of the business
community and conforms to all applicable Federal and state laws. The TS is an active member of the functional
teams in all phases of testing including System Integration Testing, User
Acceptance Testing, Trading Partner Testing, and Pilot Testing. The TS must be
able to understand healthcare system requirements, be able to write test cases
from design documents, to execute test cases written
by others, to analyze results, to report defects and to work with the
functional teams to resolve issues.
The ideal candidate will have
a background that includes expertise in healthcare claims processing,
preferably in the Medicaid arena, with special emphasis on testing experience
and adherence to Quality Assurance principles.
TS will report to the
Functional Team Leads. The engagement will be active until implemented (approximately
seven months).
