Job Description
The Company
ZoomInfo is the leader in the business information industry. Our products are used extensively by
marketers, recruiters, and salespeople to find people and companies, close new
business and generally work more efficiently and effectively. We market aggressively, back it up with
bleeding edge technology and development processes, and are led by a team of
seasoned executives who have each achieved significant success in their
careers.
Annnnd: we’re having fun while we do it. Zoomers know how to deliver value, but they tend to be laughing along the way. We’re looking for people who can balance passion for their work (ie, craftspeople) with a sense of play and perspective. Our idea is that mistakes mean you’re trying, and that’s the main thing. We have this “no jerks” policy – life’s too short to hang with people like that, no matter how great they think they are. Oh: and we throw killer parties. Ask our recruiter about Michael Bolton sometime…
This is a rapidly growing company with a top tier client list that includes over 30% of the Fortune 100. We have today over 3,000 clients. We are positioning ourselves for a major growth phase to capitalize on our past success, and frankly shake-up the business information market.
Were you the type of kid who was always taking things apart to see what they were made of? Do you catch every typo people make – and do they drive you nuts? Love the Web? Excellent. Now, you need to be the kind of person who wants to know where the light went, when it went out.
We’re seeking an SQA Engineer/ Performance Test Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. The role is critical to us, particularly in regards to understanding how our users will interact with our award winning product line, and anticipating issues they will have before they actually have them. You’ll be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and execution of test plans and test programs for various ZoomInfo web and data scrubbing applications. This position requires close interaction with both technical and business staff, so it helps to know how to deliver your criticism with a bit of gentility.
·
Bachelors
degree in Computer Science preferred.
·
Ideally,
5 – 8 years in Software QA (but: if you’re a more junior rock star with
performance test engineering experience, get your info on over here…)
·
Experience
with Performance/Stress/Load testing in a Java/Linux environment. (The
more experience, the less important the specific environment is, less
experience the environment becomes more important).
·
Successful
experience with test automation, any tools.
·
Experience
with unit testing, (JUnit expertise would be GREAT).
·
Courage:
You should be excited by the chance to try new things, new tools, new processes in an effort to improve our ability to achieve
quality.
·
Must
be organized, attentive to detail and exhibit excellent oral and written
communication skills.
·
Big
Plusses:
o
Senior
level experience in software QA.
o
Experience
being part of a CMM level 1 team that is maturing into a level 3 would be some
sorta special gravy.
o

o
